Puerto de Benalmadena marina is going to be Andalusia largest marina. It became clear yesterday when Benalmadena municipality signed the technical details of the administration that makes Puerto Benalmadena marina will expand in the near future from the current 875 berths to 1700 berth and be one of the largest in Spain with a total of 1.700 berths.

The recent agreement signed between the Spanish Government and Benalmadena municipality is from 1972. Now the contract is extended by 30 years and it also includes an authorization to Benalmadena port can be expanded.

Now, the project will be developed over the next six months and before the end of the year is expected to roll-out of Puerto Benalmadena port to begin. Overall, it is about an investment of 68 million Euros.

Puerto Benalmadena marina will be built out to sea; the surface is equivalent to 38 football pitches. Even a dry dock, however, on 26,000 square meters built, it will be the largest in Andalusia. Even the entrance to the harbor will be rebuilt and tidied up.

Earlier decisions by the Andalucia Government will also harbor Puerto de La Bajadilla in Marbella to be expanded. This means that the number of berths in the Andalusian marinas will increase from 20,200 to 25,000 by 2015.

Within three months, will tunnel through San Pedro Alcantara to be open to traffic. This was announced by Mayor Marbella Angeles Munoz after visiting road construction yesterday.

In the province of Malaga is the unemployment rate at 31.6 percent or 251.700 people. Malaga is located on place sixth among the rest of the Spanish provinces with the highest number of unemployed. Province of Granada has an unemployment rate of 28.83 percent or 121.500 people.
The official report for the last quarter of 2011 is going to be published January 28, but the tax minister Cristóbal Montoro released the figure two days before, at its first appear in the Parliament’s tax committee.
