Chinese investors have taken a sharp eye on the northern part of Malaga province, there are plans to build a completely new “China Town”.
The selected land area is in the vicinity of the place outside Antequera who is designated to build the future new airport.
“China town” is expected to attract up to 200 million euros from a number of wealthy European and Chinese investors who all believe in a strong growth in the Chinese market.
The project will be presented to the Andalusian Government, the Junta de Andalucía, which has the final word on the matter. For the new China Town to be possible to be built there must be major changes in the local government construction plans.
Plans for a future building work of a China Town has already raised the price of land in Antequera Valley according to the newspaper Sur who has talked to several farmers in the area in that particular area.
Fear of speculation and rising land prices has meant that it has released very little information about the new mega projects; China Town is designed by an architect from Malaga.
